NATHAN MCDONOUGH
TEACHING PROFESSIONAL

Nathan McDonough has been teaching golf for over a decade along the Grand Strand. Nathan was the teaching professional at Burning Ridge Golf Club for five years before joining the staff at the SC Golf Center. Nathan has obtained invaluable insight about golf instruction, golf fitness, & the techniques required to help players compete at a high level by shadowing many of the top instructors in the game including Craig Harmon (former Head Golf Professional at Oak Hill CC) and Nick Bradley (Former PGA Tour Coach for PGA Tour players Justin Rose & Kevin Chappell) just to name a few.

Nathan has derived his teaching philosophy from his experiences and is passionate about instructing golfers at the amateur, high school, collegiate, and professional levels. He has been privileged to teach some of the top juniors in the state of South Carolina and North Carolina as well as several aspiring mini tour players. His innate ability to connect with people and teach golf has led to a successful teaching career.

Nathan’s experience in business and passion for teaching makes him a great addition to the SC Golf Center!

 

JOSH JACKSON
TEACHING PROFESSIONAL

Josh Jackson, a native of South Carolina, grew up in the Augusta, Georgia area, where he attended Strom Thurmond High School. While there, he distinguished himself by receiving All Region Honors each year of attendance as well as being selected the team’s MVP three years in a row. In his junior year, he won the individual State 3A title.

He attended Coastal Carolina University, majoring in Marketing. While in attendance, he was a member of the Coastal Carolina golf team along with Dustin Johnson, currently a PGA tour-player. Josh also studied under Alan Terrell, one of Dustin’s instructors, as well as Bobby Hix, who has been featured in Golf Digest with PGA tour-player Russell Henley.

Josh has been around the game for over 15 years. In addition to his other achievements, he played professionally for five years and compiled six professional wins.
